The interior design industry deserves better than silence.
The business education and community that this industry was missing built by someone still in it.
WHAT THIS ISNobody was talking about the things that actually matter.
Pricing that makes sense. Contracts that protect you. Clients who respect your value. Employees who are the making of your studio and the ones who test everything you have. The real cost of running a business, and how to build one that works for your life.
I looked for that conversation when I launched my studio. I couldn't find it. So I built it.
The Business of Interiors exists because this industry is full of creative talent and short on business rigour. Because designers shouldn't have to learn the hard lessons alone. And because a rising tide lifts all boats if we're all more professional, more protected, and more profitable, everybody wins. Including our clients.

ABOUT RACHELI have been where you are. And I know what comes next.
I spent eighteen years in the police and left as an Inspector to run Usher & Co, my interior design studio, full time. I have been running it ever since, through the complex clients, the difficult employees, the contracts that didn't hold, the pricing that didn't work, and the moments of real burnout.
"I wanted to leave this industry better than I found it. Nothing I know is guarded. No question is too uncomfortable."
The Business of Interiors is built on that. Not theory. Not a course I built because I left the industry. Lived experience, still active, still learning and completely willing to share all of it.
My background in the police taught me about risk, about high-stakes decisions, about building systems that hold when things go wrong. Those frameworks sit inside everything I teach. They're what makes this different.
