  • The Business of Interiors exists to elevate the conversation around running a successful interiors business. We are a high-level community, platform, and event series dedicated to the commercial, strategic, and leadership side of design, the part rarely shown in portfolios. Through immersive summits, expert-led discussions, and candid industry dialogue, we support ambitious interior designers in building resilient, profitable, and future-focused businesses.

  • At The Business of Interiors, our events are designed to go far beyond traditional industry gatherings. Each summer, we host our annual two-day immersive Business of Interiors Community Summit, the first event of its kind in the UK dedicated entirely to the business side of interior design.

    We bring together studio founders and some of the industry’s most respected designers for meaningful time together, creating space for open, authentic conversations about how they truly run their businesses. It’s an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, connect with peers operating at a high level, and gain rare insight into the strategies, structures, and decisions behind successful studios.

    Our next summit is on the 22nd and 23rd of June 2026 in London.

The 2026 Summit: Build Resilience In Your Design Business

​This year’s theme is Resilience, a focused exploration of what it truly takes to build, protect, and sustain a successful interiors business in an ever-changing landscape.

Across two immersive days, the Business of Interiors Community Summit will bring together leading designers, industry experts, and our US co-host Rick Campos for honest, high-level conversations about risk, leadership, financial strength, visibility, and long-term growth. Designed to move far beyond surface-level discussion, the Summit creates space for practical insight, meaningful connection, and candid dialogue about the realities of running a studio today.

Hosted in central London across two exceptional interiors showrooms to be announced very soon, this year’s setting reflects the calibre and intimacy of the experience. Expect thoughtful conversation, shared time with speakers, and an environment carefully designed to support ambitious designers building resilient businesses.

Drawing from her experience leading a globally recognised studio with offices in the U.K., Dubai, and Los Angeles, Sally will share insight into navigating growth, maintaining momentum, and adapting across markets.

Jo Calver

Founder & Creative Director, Isla James Interiors

Reflecting on the 2024 summit…

Running a business can be isolating, taking a toll on mental health, family life, and more. I often wonder if an event where interior designers unite to support each other would lighten that burden. The first step to strengthening your business is investing in yourself.

At our inaugural Business of Interiors Community Summit, we brought design entrepreneurs together at two UK venues, offering exclusive access to empowering panels from top PR strategists and industry founders. The event was designed to break down the barriers in the interior design industry, shifting from a scarcity mindset to one focused on growth, community, and support. Our guests shared personal success stories, offering attendees the chance to refine their strategies and achieve their business goals.
